Can someone please explain how to about renewing a MobileMe Sharing Certificate, mine has expired. Have been onto Apple and they've not been much help.

I've been in there and its expired from the day I renewed my subscription. Time to call up apple, i've tried the online chat and am being told something different each time !

That doesn't help. There's nothing there that tells you how to renew this. They tell you how to get a certificate for iChat. And they purport to tell you how get a certificate for "Back to My Mac", but then the really don't.

But there's nothing there about a "MobileMe Sharing Certificate".

Is this something that's no longer needed?

It's typical Apple corporate-speak. The supposed help leads you nowhere.
