Like others, my service went up and down, and was fast and slow, in the days after the launch. I have tried all of the tricks, but I can not get my Software Update, nor System Prefs, to invoke the MobileMe 1.1 upgrade, [I did the 1.0 manually]. On another Mac here at home, the MobileMe update is not showing up either, [Software Update, nor System Prefs]. OK, fine, I'll wait, just using Safari for eMail.
But... While MobileMe is more or less working now, and at good speed, I have a Push issue. Push from MobileMe does not go from the cloud down to my new iPhone 3G. OK, fine, I'll keep waiting on that too, since when I hit the send\receive button manually it catches up.
But... Even doing it manually, mail deleted on my iPhone never deletes on the MobileMe accessed in Safari. May simply be due to Push not working, maybe the manual button is only checking for new mail.
I live in Texas. Can anyone who says all is peachy comment if they live in Texas? I have heard it suggested the updates, as well as issues, are being addressed regionally.
Oddly, I setup another mail account on my iPhone to connect to my work Exchange server. Push with Exchange is perfect. A test came down to my iPhone 30 seconds before my work PC running the full Outlook 2007 client! So, I know it is not a hardware issue, an iPhone issue, an ATT&T or service issue. The issue seems to solely be a MobileMe Push service issue.
Thoughts?
