Hello all,

So im ready to join mobileme, I have my boxed activation code ready to use - but I have not yet used the 60 day trail they offer.

Could I sign up for the 60days knowing I have my year's subscription code waiting in hand, giving me 14months rather than 12?

If I use the trial would I still be able to keep the username I set the trial up in or would I have to choose a new one?

Does the trail give you everything the full service does? or should I just use my code and ignore the 60day trail?

Any insight or help is much appreciated. :)

Yes, sign up for the trial and you'll be asked to purchase in about a month I believe. At that time, enter you code. The 60-day trial is the "full" experience, at least my 90-day trial was.

There's a caveat to this - if you want to take your credit card off the MobileMe account before entering your subscription code, it can be a bit of a headache - make sure you have everything backed up before you switch from the trial to subscription.

You can enter the code at any time - the subscription won't kick in until the trial expires.:)

After you enter it your account will continue to show up as a "free trial" with a "trial end date" but will show "your subscription will start on ......." (when the trial expires).

I can verify this...

I entered the code only two weeks after starting the trial and I still got to finish the trial.
