Mobilerss 2.0 was just released. I have used Newsstand, Byline, Reader, native google reader and a few others but now I think Mobilerss is the best reader. It is fast with a slick interface. It has lots of preferences/options to customize to your needs. A small one but one of my favorites is a preference to increase the font size which makes it much more readable.

I have nothing to do with the developer, just a happy user.

Here is their list of what's new in 2.0:

There is both a free and paid (ad free) version:

new icon

dont fancy it at all. the app itself is better (especially the ability to hide feeds you dont use)... but why did you change the icon? bleh!!!

I'm not the developer. I liked the older icon a little better but new one is fine. But functionality and UI is very good.

Thinking about switching to MobileRSS from Newsstand. Although I like Newsstand quite a bit, it's just terribly slow to mark items as read. MobileRSS seems to be lightning fast.

been using the free one and got the paid one for free when it went free. very nice especially for offline caching to read on the train

only complaint is i seem to prefer the google website for online reading since it loads images. would be nice to be able to sync everything via wifi

I believe that MobileRSS will load images — it just defaults to "only load images when on WiFi". Go to the settings and change that and you should be good.

Just discovered MobileRSS yesterday... Wow. It's like a clone of Tweetie 2, down to the swipe bar and pull to refresh. Love the interface. Lightening-fast and very intuitive.

The only thing I'm not sure about is the caching. I don't have a data plan so I'd really prefer caching on the level of Byline. And Byline 3.0 is due any day now. But I have to say I'm not impressed with the look of 3.0 from the screenshot. I'm sure it won't be as close to Tweetie 2 as MobileRSS.
