mobileterminal 364-9 ping/telnet not working

Guys,

After upgrading from 2.2.1 (jailbreak) to 3.0 (jailbreak) via redsnow, I can no longer run ping, telnet.

The results I gets are:

ping 1.1.1.1
Killed - only msg i get back

telnet 1.1.1.1
command not recognised (or similar)

I have installed the network cmds pack and nmap, tcpdump, ssh - all these seem ok bar tcpdump...this says device not recognised?

I used to use mobileterminal alot for quick router checks etc...via telnet but now I cant! A friends done exactly the same i.e. 2.2.1 > 3.0 and the same results ... no ping, no telnet. Can any of you guys help? Do you have the same? I presume this is a case of adding the commands to /bin or /usr/sbin or whatever but I'm not sure...

Guess I'm not the only one with this problem! This is one of the reasons why I jailbroke. Just so I could get mobile terminal and use the ping/telnet commands.
Anyone know how we can fix this???

HI COULD YOU FIX THIS ISSUE ON THE IPHONE, ARE NOW ABLE TO TELNET, SSH & PING ???

I WOULD APPRECIATE IF YOU COULD GIVE ME ANY TIP ON THIS.
