I have a modern buckle from Kartice, which I bought for about $44 on Amazon (
http://amzn.to/1KFklQj). The quality is fair-to-good. I think the band belongs more in the $25-$30 price range, but it is one of the only, if not THE only, rose gold third-party modern buckle I've seen so far, which may justify the price. The leather feels a bit thin and papery---not particularly lush---but it looks good and feels fine against the skin. The buckle mechanism has held strong even in the face of enthusiastic wedding-guest dancing.
The biggest complaint I have is that the buckle itself feels kind of plastic-y and the leather near the buckle looks wrinkled. (see attached photo).
I've had the band for about two months but since I have so many third-party bands that I cycle through I've probably only worn this once or twice a week, so I can't really comment on long-term use yet.
Overall, I'm happy with it since it looks great from all angles except underneath (it's one of my most-worn bands) and seems sturdy, plus there are no alternatives for a rose gold band. At the current price point I can't enthusiastically recommend it, but it's fine.
