So I've really been considering buying a clone modern buckle, but can't find any reviews on them anywhere. The only one or two I've seen have been ones from China for $100, and I'm looking more at the $30-$50 US based ones. Does anyone own one that wouldn't mind sharing their thoughts? Thanks!

I have a modern buckle from Kartice, which I bought for about $44 on Amazon (http://amzn.to/1KFklQj). The quality is fair-to-good. I think the band belongs more in the $25-$30 price range, but it is one of the only, if not THE only, rose gold third-party modern buckle I've seen so far, which may justify the price. The leather feels a bit thin and papery---not particularly lush---but it looks good and feels fine against the skin. The buckle mechanism has held strong even in the face of enthusiastic wedding-guest dancing.

The biggest complaint I have is that the buckle itself feels kind of plastic-y and the leather near the buckle looks wrinkled. (see attached photo).

I've had the band for about two months but since I have so many third-party bands that I cycle through I've probably only worn this once or twice a week, so I can't really comment on long-term use yet.

Overall, I'm happy with it since it looks great from all angles except underneath (it's one of my most-worn bands) and seems sturdy, plus there are no alternatives for a rose gold band. At the current price point I can't enthusiastically recommend it, but it's fine.

Wow @ $100 for China ones.

There have been ones I've seen floating around ebay. Very cheap though, so I don't know. Might be worth the gamble.

I don't know if this is worth mentioning ... On the strap piece with the buckle, the adapter appears to be on backwards. Of course these photos are probably photoshopped, but still it is enough to put me off.

Also, as previously mentioned, this is a classic buckle, not a modern buckle.
