Seen as I have the 38mm  Watch and a hole in my pocket I am thinking about purchasing the modern buckle in order to join my Milanese loop. This is because I have been wearing a lot of black (This is not a phase mom it's who I am!) to work and believe it would be a quirky thing to have. But, I am concerned about resizing as if I get the wrong size for whatever reason (and I have checked the size guide) I will need to be able to change it. Being impatient; self confessed, has anyone been able to add more holes to the band successfully? If not, fair enough. Just would rather have that reassurance.

Thanks!

I just opened a Modern Buckle strap size L. M is better for the wife, but the L is the only size I could find in Soft Pink and S is too small.

Looking at the fixed end, I can see four pentalobe screws. I wonder how easy it would be to undo those and snip a bit off to effectively shorten the strap.

The correct answer is - virtually impossible.

The leather part under the actual buckle at the fixed end is wider, so I couldn't just snip a bit off and move the buckle further up as the narrower part of the strap will not fill the Buckle's hole.

I also couldn't shorten it from the lug's end.

The solution is to buy the correct length, or try to add another hole in the other strap, which means the buckle will not be centred.
