hiya, i'm looking for a modern ish browser for Snow Leopard.

i have a Late 2006 MBP that still sees regular use. i use it to play guitar for example because my Retina MBP doesn't have a mic-in port.

i tried Lion on it so i could use Chromium Legacy, but even though i upgraded it to 3gb of ram and an SSD Lion stutters like all holy hell, whereas Snow Leopard is very smooth. so i'd like to continue using Snow Leopard.

however, it's very annoying that everytime i wanna download a program or something i need to do it on my Retina, put it on an external drive, transfer it over etc etc etc. if i could just have a decent browser for 10.6 that would solve a lot of these issues.

try the new interweb - I think you will like it.

I can second using that latest version of interweb with Snow Leopard….it’s seriously a game changer for usability.

Hi, have just tried both on a newly gifted, late 2009 21.5" iMac with 4Gb memory. I was impressed with the first Nightly 55, and the performance of the second Interweb browser simply blew me away. Just amazing!
Now if you could pls advise how to download an adblocker as effective as uBlockOrigin or something equivalent, that will make my year (2025) as far as Snow Leopard is concerned.

Just download the older InterWeb. The zip includes extensions known to work and uBlock is included in the archive. Just drag and drop in to a blank tab to install.

I use snow leopard to this day and I would like to inform you that the interweb is the best option but also the heaviest. Many things load in it including iCloud, but it runs very slow on my MacBook 2008 aluminum unibody. If you know any config to make it lighter, I'll accept it. I think articfox is lighter but many sites no longer load on it.
