Modern Warfare 3 on a late 2008 MacBook Pro?

I was wondering if anyone had any details on whether or not Modern Warfare 3 would run on a MacBook Pro 15" Late-2008. I really don't care what the settings.

Processor: 2.53GHz Intel Core 2 Duo (T9400?)
RAM: 4GB 1067 MHz DDR3
GPU: NVIDIA 9400M 256GB / NVIDIA 9600M GT 512MB GDDR3

I saw the system requirements needed an 8600GT, and I'm not sure where the 9600M GT compares with that.

(Yes I know it's to check if your nVidia card will run Battlefield 3, but the recommended specs for MW 3 are similar.)

Thanks, I'll have to jump over and try that. Hopefully I'll be able to get it running! Been holding off on an upgrade just incase a new design comes out this year

So the best looking game on the market runs similarly to 4 year old engine with slight upgrades? Great optimisation there.

Yeah, the requirements of BF3 are not that close to that of MW3.

It should be playable with decent settings considering its technically a very similar game to every COD back to MW2. SP will probably be a bit more demanding than MP. Black Ops stuttered a lot at launch on my gaming PC with great specs last year, so the PC version might be a bit unstable for a few weeks.

Thanks for the responses. I went ahead and picked myself up a copy. Single player is working on highest settings with very smooth frame rates.

Seems to be working great so far! Haven't worked up the guts to try multiplayer just yet.

I know it's been a while since you've posted this information, but were you able to run MW3 in Multiplayer or even BF3 if you've tried that game on your late 2008 macbook pro model? Also, are you running Windows XP or 7?

MW3 runs incredible (at 1920x1080 and 1440x900) in multiplayer. Battlefield 3 struggled heavily. This was under Windows 7.
