Hi,

I just got MW for use on my MP. Of course that is an excellent match, with lots of graphics power (GeForce 8800GT) to run it, and it is fantastic. However, I am seriously looking into buying one of the new MBPs, and is wondering how the discreet graphics chip (GeForce 9400M) will run MW?

i thought that the new mbp was getting 9600m.. n mb is getting 9400m?

either way, 9600m is just a little improvement over 8600m. thank god i didnt wait.

The new MBPs include both the 9600 and the 9400. However, your 8800 GT will be considerably better for Call of Duty 4 than the 9400.

OK, I mis-typed, I meant will the GeForce 9600M play MW badly, well, or very well?

I know it will not perform like the 800GT, just wondering if the new MBP can be considered a gaming laptop?

It's a rather expensive gaming laptop but you should be able to pull off Medium/High settings.

The MBP will not be a Gaming Laptop only, I will use when I travel, and would like to consider playing some of my favorite games on it as well - MW is the one at the moment.
