Modified rom on win laptop as a solution for edp screen?

I am wondering If custum rom by Nick can be used as a solution for edp internal screen also on win laptop. I own dell precision m6800 with Nvidia k4100m and what I read till know It looks like there is no solution for dgpu with edp screen (only LVDS motherboards work).

Right now I am running Big Sur 11.3 accelerated by Intel HD4600. Nvidia dgpu works only via hdmi on external screen. If I disable optimus in BIOS I always get black screen.

Do you think If I can get working internal screen by this custom rom? Can I brick my laptop while installing custom rom? Have anyone ever try it on win laptop?

What do you mean a custom rom, and who is Nick? Is this a hackintosh thing? If so, a dedicated site to hackintoshs like tonymacx86.com may offer more help.

If I am not mistaken the original poster was MichaelDT. I have quadro k4100m on my dell’s laptop and I thought maybe If I install modified rom I would get a working internal screen. As I mentioned till now nobody on hackintosh community found solution for dgpu that would work on edp screen.

I am wondering If it’s even possible to install this rom/bios on my laptop? Will this brick my laptop or not? I hope I was clear enough.
