It's been a few years since I tried digging through my phones folders to change saved data. I think it was iOS 7, and ifunbox seemed to do the trick without any problem.

Recently, I tried the old methods and I found they didn't work anymore. Ive looked at ifunbox and iexplorer.

Is there a "new" method to be able to view/change app data/saved games?

I'm not currently jailbroken, but I'm not opposed to JB. I've done it on all my past phones.

I used to use a hack called datadeposit with dropbox before to save game data and then restore it back.
But that doesn't modify any saved data.
It just saves it and restores it for later. For example if you setup as new you can still copy back your game progress.
Not sure if that's what you're looking for.

I mostly just want to change things like in-game money. Some games are fun, but the rate you earn money ruins it. I was able to do it for a couple games a few years back, but it seems those methods don't work anymore.

Has anyone been successful in accessing app data without jailbreaking? How about those who have jailbroken?
