Hi All,

I am new to website design, so please bear with me. I am attempting to build a publication page with links to PDFs of the papers I have published. Unfortunately, when I attempt to do this, iWeb inserts the entire file path and I cannot seem to figure out a way to modify it. Ideally, I would like to provide the citation for the viewer and then have a text hyperlink (e.g., PDF) that allows one to download the file. Is it possible to modify the text of the hyperlink if you are attaching a file, or are you simply stuck with only the file path. Any help you could provide would be much appreciated.

Cheers,

Hi,

write the text you would like to have as a link. Select it, go to Inspector, Link tab, Enable as a hyperlink, Link to: A File and choose the pdf file.
The link will have the text you previously entered.
However for the download to start automatically you will need to zip the files. If you don't zip them the pdf may open in the browser instead of downloading.
