The Series 10 has a screen as big as an Ultra.

The Series 10 has a newer CPU than the Ultra.

Then surely it has access to a version of the Modular Ultra watch face that the Ultra has had for a year right? Wrong.

If this annoys you please consider filling out feedback to Apple.

I have no interest in an Ultra for ergonomics and price reasons. There's no (good) reason for Series 10 users to be left out like this. Hopefully if enough people complain this would change in the future.

If it makes you feel any better, I promised myself sometime around the release of the Series 3 that I would never buy another AW until they allowed for custom watch faces.

And here I am seven years later… 🤷‍♂️

It’s exclusive to the ultra …. Much the same as the Hermes has exclusive watch faces, even though the watch has the same spec.

Exclusivity of a watch face to a model is nothing new.

I have been dying for a third party watch face store. I'm so tired of waiting for a paltry number of watch faces each year.

Thanks for the breaking news. The point of this thread is to change that. Some watch faces that were exclusive to Nike eventually became available to everyone.

It wasn’t meant to be breaking news, quite the opposite, just pointing out that you’re moaning about something thats been happening for years.

I think you’ll find the Nike change was more to do with Nikes brand exposure rather than a few people complaining on macrumours. I could be wrong though 😁

If you don’t like the ‘paltry’ watch faces then you do have a choice.

So because something's been happening for years you shouldn't try to change it? Solid logic.

And yes, three new faces for a major OS release equals paltry to me.

You can try and change whatever you like, my kids used to try and change things by stamping their feet and throwing their toys around but it never worked. 😉

As I said if you don’t like the faces on offer you do have a choice. There are tons of faces all of which can be customised to death. But if that’s not good enough for you then maybe the AW isn’t for you.

Try Widgy, it isn’t perfect but it works well enough!
