Mojave final showing "feedback assistant" app among other quirks...

Just updated from 10.13.6 to Mojave final 18A391 and it's showing the"feedback assistant" app as if it still were in beta.
(The 10.13.6 was indeed a clean install from scratch, then ran 10.14 final update from there. Mojave installer downloaded from App Store AFTER public release.)

Also, Mojave wouldn't let me do a clean install from USB, complaining about my graphics card not being Metal capable. (GTX 680 2GB nVidia reference design, flashed to mac edition.)

Weird bugs still.

And they removed support for my aftermarket Atheros 9380 Wi-Fi card that I specifically installed to run Sierra/High Sierra with native Wi-Fi drivers. Ugh. Can I get any cheap card based on BCM94322MC or should I spend more on a genuine apple card?

Back to my old 10.11.6-setup for now.

Easy to remove feedback assistant prompt. Open finder.
SYSTEM DRIVE > Applications > Utilities > delete Feedback Assistant (shortcut)

I know it's easy to get rid of, but it feels odd when bugs like that survive into the final release.

Personally would suggest ONLY installing Beta to a separate drive. If you can't install from USB, use Carbon Copy Cloner and then install/update from the clone. Then go back to your "functional" OS (clone on top of the Beta) before upgrading to the official release. You will avoid "quirks" and most issues.

Are you on an official/authentic Mac Pro 5,1 (2010 or 2012) or have you updated/hacked an older machine for support?
Where did you download the official Mojave installer from?

You would need to un-enroll from Beta before downloading/installing the Mojave official release. That feedback assistant "quirk" is fully expected if you were using a Beta and did not un-enroll correctly.

Removed all my other drives and installed Mojave on a spare drive, as I always do when trying out new software. Relying on this machine for productivity, so I'm always cautious.

On a 4,1=>5,1 with upgraded CPU and Graphics (single X5680, GTX 680 "Mac edition")

Downloaded the installer from App Store on my 10.11.6 machine.

Weird, I'm not enrolled in the beta programme anymore on that install, but I guess I once was, since it's also still showing "Feedback Assistant". There's no profile installed and I've updated quite a few times, never receiving beta updates.

Does downloading on a machine that was previously enrolled and didn't un-enroll correctly actually set different flags for the installer?

More annoying is the fact that it won't let me install from USB onto a clean drive.

Can I start the install manually using startosinstall from the installer?

Update to macOS High Sierra 10.13.6
First, use the Mac App Store to update your operating system to macOS High Sierra 10.13.6. Don't upgrade your Mac Pro (Mid 2010) or Mac Pro (Mid 2012) to macOS Mojave directly from macOS versions prior to 10.13.6.

I downloaded Mojave on my 10.11.6-setup, I think. (Could also have been downloaded from 10.13.6, I forgot)

Definitely installed from 10.13.6!

Feedback Assistant has been in final releases since El Capitan. It’s supposed to be there. It’s not a beta feature.
