Mojave graphics issue/bug in Finder

Hi there, has anybody experienced this too by any chance (see file attached)? The side bar appears completely blacked out and the folders appear highlighted in blue for no reason. I didn't highlight these folders myself. Or is this even a slight indication of an internal hardware issue?

Note; the removal of some of the names of folders in this Documents folder is not part of the glitch, I removed those parts myself for privacy reasons.

That's bizarre. I've not come across that issue on any of the Macs I have access to that run Mojave. Does this happen on a regular basis? Periodically, or every time?
