Hi Guys,
Yesterday, while looking into possible alternatives to flash my video card (ATI Radeon R9 280X Dual-X) I tried to download WinNsX 64 from the App Store. This app is supposed to let you run Windows exe's in OS X. (Was hoping to run ATI Flash)
Now, I have downloaded, upgraded, etc. other apps with no problems since the Mojave install. This App, however, keeps freezing my Mac Pro up whenever I try to get it from the App store. After multiple tries to restart the download (Launchpad says it is paused) it locks up the system every time, and I have to press the 'on' button for 6 seconds to shut down the system. I even moved the icon from the applications folder (it did install the icon, even before the download was complete) to the trash, but it still didn't get rid of the status bar below the Launchpad tray Icon. Matter of fact, it is still there! In Launchpad, it is a stitched outline of an icon, and says 'paused' inside of it. I am not sure what to do about this. Has anyone else had issues with this type of problem? I think it may have to do with Mojave, as never had any problems with High Sierra before this. When I tried downloading it to begin with, I had turned off SIP to try and flash my video card... could this app have done something to the system due to SIP being disabled? I have since re-enabled SIP.
BTW- I have found that my ATI Radeon HD5770 stock Mac video card will boot up Mojave after it is installed with the R9 280x Dual-X metal card I have... and it allows me to CMD R into restore.
Thanks!
Charlie

And why don't you contact first the developer of the app? Did you use this app in HS before? Is it even compatible with mojave?

It does say compatible with Mojave. The app never got a chance to finish installation. So, I assume it is the O.S. not the app. I never even opened the app since it never finished the install. So, what do you think? I can't even open the App Store to the WinNsX 64 app, or it freezes the O.S., so how would I be able to contact them? I can access the rest of the app store except this app's page.

I had similar behaviour for some apps in HS . Just ended up deleting them . Try App uninstaller . You may not be able to find this app In the Appstore anymore. Go to the developer's site . There was some statement about how Mojave is restricting now uninstaller apps .

Yeah, the app is still in the store, I don't want to hit the cloud icon, as it will freeze again. It still is in Launchpad as a dashed icon, and says paused. What app uninstaller should I use? I have never had this happen before, and so am at a loss as to remedy it.Been a Mac fan for 7 years now, and won't go back to windows, except for my laser engravers. Have been in computers since 1982 lol... (TI-99 4A) Will try to find an uninstall app. Thanks!

[doublepost=1548082833][/doublepost]I ended up just long clicking on the app icon in Launchpad, and hitting the (x)

No virtualization app will allow you to flash a card, as they do not have direct access to hardware.
