Mojave PB3 update installation fails 4.1->5.1

Got notice of available update, download via control panel, immediately get install failed error.
On PB2 4.1->5.1 with Mac Version 7950

I got that with the 10.13.6 update from the App Store. I tried it again and it worked fine. Have you tried it a second time? Maybe reboot first too?

Reboot x 2, it doesn't seem to download after the first time. Where are the updates cached? Perhaps I can delete it and get a fresh copy.

This may have changed in Mojave since OS updates aren't in the MAS anymore, but you can try this:

Tried your suggestion, no joy. There weren't any files anywhere near the size of the download

Seems like others are seeing the same issue (not just on the cMP). See this thread: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/public-beta-3-not-installing.2128136/#post-26259968

One guy's suggestion was to unenroll from the beta program and then re-enroll.

That actually solved my problem. It may have been related to my “force by terminal” install of PB1. Running PB3 smoothly now.
