I recently upgraded to a 2015 27" iMac which came preloaded with Mojave (OS 10.14.6), but Preview won't open any jpeg files. Is there an update or fix for this issue?

I'm running the latest Mojave on mine and my preview works just fine with jpegs - how are you trying to open these files? from Preview thru File Open? or from Finder? you might want to do a clean install ...

Do you get an error msg when you try to open the files?
If so, what does it say?

Have you tried this:
a. have the jpg file on the desktop
b. RIGHT click on it
c. You should see an "Open with" choice in the contextual menu
d. Is Preview in that list?
e. What happens if you choose it?

Weird, I am having this same problem with an iMac. Works fine on my MacBook Pro and Mac Pro, but the iMac will not open JPEG files. It opens PDFs and TIFFs just fine. Affinity Photo opens JPEGs fine, too, on this iMac. I even tried deleting Preview (sudo from terminal) and copying the copy from my MacBook Pro but the problem persists. Any solution?
