Momentus XT as second drive?

I have the new 2011 2.5 Mac mini and I am running at intel 320 160GB SSD as the main/OS drive. I want to run a second drive and just debating if it makes any sense to get a Momentus XT instead of a traditional 7200RPM drive as a secondary internal drive? I will only keep my torrents, music and photos on there. I do not access the music and photos often so most of the writing and reading will be by bittorrent so I dont know if there will be an advantage to SSD caching as the sectors accessed will be different every time. Any thoughts?

Im thinking of getting this hybrid drive for my mini but it will be my boot drive.

in the reviews i read it is about 30% faster than a 7200RPM drive. That being said, if it is just going to hold media and not stream it anywhere then you might as well get the biggest drive you can get as speed is not going to be your biggest concern.

From what I understand, the Momentus only adapts to cache your most used items within the SSD portion of the drive (preferably applications or your OS), which doesn't sound like it would serve your needs adequately, of course, unless you access a handful of files more often than others.

Better off spending that money on more storage space.

Yeah the momentus xt doesn't make sense for a data drive. The whole purpose is to cache common files. When rated for random file access, the momentus behaves like any other 7200 rpm drive. So you'd probably be better off getting a 1tb samsung spinpoint for storing data.
