I'm looking to get an external monitor for my MBP, but I'm stuck.
I want one with a digital input and it has to be atleast 22".
I can't decide between a 22" monitor, probably a dell, running at 1680x1050 or a 24" running at 1900x1200.
The 22" would be the right size for me (anything bigger would be a bonus) but it's whether the resolution would be high enough. The 24" is such a jump in price, that I don't know whether it'd be worth waiting while I save the money. The high resolution really appeals to me.

Has anyone got any advice or past experience with monitors of the same resolutions that could help me out with my choice?

Thanks alot,
Chris

Depends on what sort of applications you run. My 17" MacBook Pro supports 1920x1200 natively on the internal screen and I really appreciate the extra resolution when using applications such as Photoshop. A 20" iMac, by comparison, is nice but a little cramped.

Personally I'd go for the 24".

i have a 20" acer x203w at 1650x1280. personally i prefer higher pixel pitch over larger size... much more 'high def'
