I have a Macintosh G4 with AGP Graphics 400mhz and VGA monitor output is this computor compatible with the newer aluminum 20 inch flat panel displays or do I need a adaptor if so what kind of adaptor.

You'll need a VGA to DVI adapter for that. From what I know those are expensive. You could get the 20.1" Dell Widesceen LCD though. It comes with VGA input. <.<
