it would not power up? thats really a ****.. couse many and many monitors...seems be not compatible... compatible not work? or just i don t have some features?

for example i like this acer do it work?

Asus VE247H ...

otherwise.. someone can help me with some very good monitor that cost no more then 200 euro that is also compatible with mac os.....
thank you

All typical monitors should work on OS X with a Mac Pro except for the Thunderbolt ACD.

If you have a monitor that isn't turning on, something is wrong.

I thought it was funny that the only monitor you can't use on a Mac Pro is one sold by Apple. I have a cheap Dell for a second monitor on mine, with the old 30" ACD as the primary.

so every monitor will work with no problem?

I suppose it's possible there's some really weird monitor out there that doesn't work, but most typical and currently available monitors should be compatible, yes. Make sure it's a common model with the correct inputs.

Apple's Thunderbolt ACD is definitely not compatible.

From my experience so far this isn't true, not all monitors are compatible with macs. I purchased a hp 2311x and it Definately isn't compatible
With my mid 2010 MacBook pro. I use it side by side and the colors and contrast are off no matter how many setting I've tried. Now when I hook it up to my gf's 4 year old hp laptop Colors and contrast look amazing without touching a setting. I'd say there not all compatible. I'm returning this and hopefully
Have better luck with a dell.
