I would appreciate your suggestions for a monitor for a late 2013 Mac Pro. It's a 12-core machine with AMD FirePro D300 2048 MB. I don't do any graphically intensive work: mostly scientific computing with Matlab, LyX and LaTeX.
I was waiting for an updated version of Apple's Thunderbolt display, but we know how that ended. For now, I'm using my old (2010) iMac as a monitor in Target Display Mode, but the setup is far from ideal: the iMac has only a mini display port, and quite often when I reboot both computers, iMac fails to go into Target Display Mode and detect that the Mac Pro is on.
I'm looking for all-in-one displays like Apple's Thunderbolt: with camera and speakers, at least 27". I'm wondering if there is something better than what Apple currently offers for the same amount of money (more or less, I'm quite flexible in terms of the budget).
Thanks
