monitor for mac pro

What are your guys recommendations?
Since it doesnt have thunderbolt .. future apple monitors are out.
What about a used 30 acd for like 570?

i got a 27 ACD on craigs for 480 9/10.....also have a dell u2713hm and its fantastic but only took about 3 returns to finally get a good one without panel defects and minimal light bleed , defects were yellow tinting and one side of the screen being brighter.. i tried the pb278q but the picture quality just didnt look right so i returned..maybe because its a samsung based panel.. i have a korean monitor shimian that i got for 300 on ebay hooked up to my gaming pc rig, the shimian is fantastic... i used to have a dual u2412m but there anti glare coat was ridiculous

It is hard to give a decent recommendation without some information such as what you will use the monitor for and what your budget is about.

High end graphics - NEC PA series or upper Eizo
Moderate graphics and gaming (check specs first) - HP and Dell Ultra and Samsung.

Everything else - just buy a generic don't care about it monitor.

ACDs.....

are very good options for Mac Pros. I have my doubts about an used one, but hey, you can give back the thing on 30 days and no cost in return shipping....Hard to argue with that deal....

Don't forget to post some pictures!

I wish Apple still made monitor with a matte anti-glare coating. I really prefer them, and a new 23/24" monitor at 1920x1080 or higher would really do well.

Hopefully everything is good. If it isn't ill send it back but if it is good I will keep my eye out for a second one. My favorite monitor of all time. Long time ago I had a 30in dell in my pc days and that thing lasted like 5 years then sold it .. still worked perfectly. But the apple one is beautiful
