if I connect a monitor of another brand to a mac studio or mac mini will 144 hz and True Tone work?

After some quick research online,

1. 144Hz should be supported by Mac Studio with M2 Max (or above) or by Mac Mini with M2 Pro (or above, when it's released). It is my understanding that no other Mac Studios or Mac Minis support it.

2. True Tone, again from limited research, is limited to Apple-made displays only.

True Tone appears to only work on non-Apple external displays if they are connected to a MacBook Pro or an iMac per this article.

144MHz refresh support requires the HDMI 2.1 port on the M2 Mac Studio or M2 PRO Mac mini.
