I have a 24 inch iMac with a matte screen, and I just started working in an office that has pretty bright light coming in through some large windows. Does anyone here use a monitor hood with this model/size iMac? I did a quick search around the web, but came up lind of empty handd. I've seen some on Cinema displays, but they look kind of clunky, and appear to block tghe DVD slot. I guess I'm not going to find one with Mac-like design! :)

Please let me know what brand/model you have and if you thinks its worth purchasing. Thanks!

A hood wtf? Like what the refs use in NFL games when they have to challenge a play?

hood for imac

I searched all over the internet about a month ago. Nada. I just stumbled on a hood at Intergrated Color Corp. Check it out.

Anyone ever try the hood? I'm seriously thinking of getting the photodon hood to reduce glare on my 24" iMac from overhead lighting.

you could make your own.
Also I saw the photographer "Chase jarvis" in his studio and they use monitor hoods with their macs. He does a video podcast or you can look on his blog. Will be videos of behind the scenes and you would see his studio.

I think I'm going to make my own

think they use 30" cinema displays but heres a thumbnail from a video on chase jarvis's studio webpage.
