Hoping someone can help, I am looking for a Monitor Riser to use with my Mac Mini.

This is the style I am after:
http://www.newertech.com/products/nustandxl.php

But would like it in Silver to match the Mac Mini, anyone have any suggestions?

The cheaper the better to be honest, Amazon would be helpful as I have a voucher but not essential.

Thanks in Advance :)

Looks nice but I have a Samsung Monitor and the base is too big for it.

The riser would need to be around the same dimensions as the one I posted, I just don't like the clear plaster :(
The stand from NewerTech, and a $3 can of aluminum spray paint and you've got just what you wanted.

Monitor mount

If your monitor has VESA mounting points why not consider a height adjustable monitor stand?

I use one that clamps to my desk and has a very small footprint and can take a second monitor if I decide to go dual monitor in the future. It holds the monitor at the right height, is solid and is cheaper and more adjustable than a monitor riser.

Got any tools? Saw, hammer, ruler, nails?

Know of a wood shop or wood supply place nearby?

Build your own stand out of some nice "clear pine".

The pieces you'll need are so small, they may even have a few scraps they'll give you for free.

Then apply a nice wood stain.

Probably cost a tiny fraction of the riser you posted a link to in post #1...

Looks like this will be my best option :)

I've got one of these for my mac mini and monitor:

And done the job pretty well for me, but slightly pricey i feel.

If you have some type of metal fab shop in the area try and find a scrap piece of aluminum c channel. I found a piece of C10, 10" wide about 2-1/2" tall. They had a scrap piece that was 10" so basically my piece is 10" square, I even got them to give it a brushed finish for just a few dollars. I have room underneath for my mini, back up drive and my dvd drive.

I would love to see this, would you post an image?

There's this thing called the Laptuk, meant for a Cinema Display and TUKING (GET IT NAME PUN I R CLEAVER) it under it, but the Mac mini should fit under it. I actually use put my monitor on top of my External HDD, and you could always put the monitor straight on the mini if you were so inclined.

Nice! Never saw those. I think I'm going to order the long one.

I ordered three (2x long, 1x small).. very nice and solid, got my iMac + 2 monitors on them.. got my emotiva xda2 under it! It's the best mount I ever got, it will last forever.
