I recently purchased a new MateView 4k monitor which I connected to my 2013 Mac Pro using a miniDP-to-miniDP cable. I initially set it up using my existing 30" Cinema display in the Displays control panel and set it to 60 Hz. That was working great for the last 1.5 weeks, even after I disconnected my Cinema.
Today I was trying to unplug the power for my PC laptop and instead unplugged the monitor's power cable. I plugged the monitor back in and after a second or two it started back up. However, it is now stuck at 30 Hz and I can't figure out what to do to get it back to 60. I cannot find the refresh rate box any more, even after I plugged the Cinema back in.
I tried turning on mirroring with the TV downstairs. This made a frequency box appear and I was able to set it to 60 Hz and it was clearly working. However, when I disconnect the TV, it resets back to 30 again.
Very annoying... suggestions?
