Has anyone heard if they are redoing Monopoly for the iPad? That's one of the games I was really looking forward to. I guess I'll have to settle for Scrabble iPad. I wonder how bad iPhone/Touch apps look stretched on the iPad.

I have several versions of the Monopoly. On Mac, I prefer the classic one. I actually think that the iPhone version in some ways is better than the Mac one.

Add a larger screen to that and you have a winner. I suppose, there will be a function, where the screen orientation will flick, so people can give the device to each other without turning it. Or, if the dice throwing works otherwise, there is no need to pass the iPad on. It wouldn't only imitate the board game, but it could make it so much better.

Despite all my negative feelings, I always admitted that I see great potential gaming on the iPad. And among the elderly, if syncing can be avoided.

I agree that word games would be great on it too.
