Down from $7.99.

About as polished and professional game application as there is in the App Store. If you like Monopoly at all, certainly well worth the $5. High replay value.

Indeed a great deal! Love all the EA Mobile games ... they are certainly a powerhouse when it comes to iPhone gaming apps

I have this game its pretty good. if you choose the penguin he dives and slides across the board on his belly.

I like how you can save a game and continue later. sometimes i want to play but not for like 4 hours. So its nice to play for 20 minute bursts and just save the game.

Is this fun playing by yourself?

I would say yes it's fun. The AIs are fairly good but not as challenging as I thought they should have been...

So fun yes, but nowhere nearly as fun when played with your family or friends. If you have just one person to play with you'll get at least 10x more enjoyment out of the game.

There are no goals nor rewards nor maps for you to unlock though... But they do give you I think 8 or 10 "scenes" to start with and all the board pieces.

I saw this yesterday. I don't like this game. Had purchased around Christmas. The interface and everything is nice and it's a well rounded game but just not something I play often. We ran a wifi game and it was fun but as far as you against the computer just doesn't do it for me. I'd stick to board game

This game's AI is too stupid to be fun. Even on the highest level all you have to do to win is buy property from others before they can make stupid trades.

In other words, if you see two of three properties (for a monopoly) gone, trade cash for one of the properties so the AI players can't make a monopoly. They will almost always trade cash for a property. They will even sell you one of two if they own it whereas no human would split up 2/3rds of a monopoly.

Plus, they think any monopoly is better than what they have. I can constantly trade the first two properties (which are a monopoly) for any one property which will give me a monopoly. In other words, if a player has a single green and I have the other two greens, it will trade the worst monopoly and give me one of the best ones.

PASS on this game.

I bought it. Game looks solid.

And it seems all the EA games are on sale. I wanted to buy Spore for a while. It's 6.99 now. Is it worth it at that price? Looks like it has mixed reviews and I can't decide :/

I may have to agree with you on this.
I bought it yesterday on impulse, played it for about an hour and I am not sure if it's something I'd play often by myself on the iphone. The game is polished but it feels like it would be more fun to play with live people whom you can negotiate the trades and have more social interactions with while the game is going on.

UNO on the other hand is something you can play on your own for a quick game or play online with a group of people. Although online mode is pretty buggy right now, it's a ton of fun and strangely addicting.

don't get discouraged if monopoly crashes. you have to change the "language" settings of the iphone. search google or macrumors.

that's why it has such a low rating. people don't search for themselves on how to fix the problem.

i like the game, and i like trying to see how fast i can blow out the other AI players.

ok, to be fair, I've been playing this game quite a bit more than I expected. Although I will still say it's a better social experience to play with a group of friends (preferably after some heavy drinking) on a real game board, and the game is not without issues, it's actually fun to play this game on the iphone.
