Another FYI
The Monoprice mini displayport to DVI cables will stop working if the energy saver monitor sleep is active in 10.9. My nMP has lost connection with the monitor twice when the monitor sleep state kicked in. Once I was able to pull the cable and reinsert. The other time I was forced to reboot.
A monitor that used the built-in HDMI cable or a mDP to HDMI dongle did not have issues.
I have not had an issue since I disabled the monitor sleep mode. This is not usually a bad thing since both of my monitors have auto sleep functionality built in.
