monster adapter alternative

I've seen some posts on here about a Radio Shack adapter thats being used instead of the Monster Cable that Apple store is selling. The only one i found at Radio Shack is STEREO 1/4-inch phono to STEREO 1/8-inch mini phono. The Monster Cable is MONO 1/4-inch phono to STEREO 1/8-inch mini phono. Can someone tell me if matters that the radio Shack one is STEREO to STEREO? Will it still work fine? I'm stupid when it comes to this stuff and the Monster Cable at the Apple Store is on backorder for 4 weeks! I can't wait that long!

I found a mono 1/4 to mono 1/8 at radio shack that is perfect. I'm pretty sure they all stock the same stuff so yours should have it too.

yeah, i'm using a radio shack plug right now. no complaints.
