Hello

Matmi's first iPhone game Monster Pinball has been approved by Apple and it is already receiving great reviews.

http://iphone.matmi.com/monsterpinball

Monster Pinball is the most action packed and fastest pinball game on the iPhone!

Six interconnected tables bring you into the mind boggling pinball world
of the Monster Mafia characters sending you into a spin at every flick of
your paddles.

This game is not a simulator nor a retro port, it's a totally original pinball extravaganza, taking the core principles of pinball to a new level.
Multiple flippers, rebounds, stallballs, boosts, bonus, freeballs and tilt
are all present taking the full advantage of the iPod Touch/iPhones power.

Beautifully animated and presented graphics together
with wonderfully crazy sound effects.

A sensational 60 frames per second physics engine
make it the smoothest pinball game yet.

Features

* 6 fun packed tables, all interconnected, with varied and unique goals
* 60fps giving extra smooth gameplay
* Realistic Physics engine developed for this game
* Accelerometer tilt function
* Hotball feature – Score double points when active
* Stunning graphics and animations
* Unique sound effects in stereo
* Pause, Save and Resume
* Local and Online scoreboards
* Created specifically for the iPhone/iPod Touch
* Created by the wonderful minds of Matmi

Christian Zibreg from Geek.com said "Simply put, Monster Pinball oozes with freshness, addiction and polish - all key ingredients of a great pinball experience. It is my opinion that Monster Pinball leaves Pinball Dreams, Wild West Pinball and Freebalin’ in the dust, portraying these games as boring, unforgiving and frustrating."

Quick review

The image quality looks really nice on the screen. I like the unique graphics (cartoony alien theme) and am impressed by how richly they are rendered and how smooth it looks. Graphics are iPhone worthy.

Gameplay is interesting for a pinball app as instead of playing on the same board, you can knock you ball up the sceen and get onto other pinball screens (of which you only lose a ball when you wiff with your paddles on the lowest / basic starter level). Sounds confusing but basically you get multiple pinball screens in the same game.

Controlls are simple, but admidtedly it can be a bit hard to launch the ball with the plunger on some of the screens. The swipe gesture sometimes gets confused with hitting the left or right paddle buttons. But it maybe that I just need to get a better feel for where to swipe.

Also, in a update I might ask for a slightly larger pinball. It looks small compared to the rest of the screen, but maybe that is what makes it more of a challenge.

Bottom line: Pretty impressive looking pinball game.

Ouch? Seriously, take a look at the link to the video of the game play. The graphics are awesome in this game. It is so hard to find such a nice polished game like this for the iPhone or iPod touch.

$3.99 might be a slightly high introductory price, but I couldn't see a reason for the developer to sell this for anything less than $2.99. A $1.99 sale might do them well to get some feet in the door, but I think the price is pretty fair.

I understand everyone only wants the free or 99¢ apps, but when a developer puts in as much time, effort, and dedication to their app as is evident with this one, they deserve to sell it for a slightly larger premium.

Really, $3.99 is like skipping that large double-expresso-latte mocha for breakfast one day or skipping one day at the local fast food joint.

I say just compliment or criticize the app for what it is and the price will ultimately reflect it. If people don't like it and it gets bad reviews, people will not buy it, possible lowering of price in the future. If they like it and highly recommend it, then the price point is just.

Best Pinball game yet. The price is cheap for this quality and gameplay. Wait till you electrocute one of the aliens. :D

We spent months making this game and we love making games but we all have to make a living. Many 99¢ are really not worth even 99¢.

The price was decided on the amount of work we put in. We may make 99¢ apps that take a shorter development time, but they will not be as big, polished and good as Monster Pinball.

We love making games (though it can be really hard work). We are an independent developer who has to make a living.

Loads of people have bought the app and have agreed that the game is well worth the money. It costs the same as a pint of beer in the UK and will entertain you for months if not years ;)

Appvee, iLouge, Geek.com and Toucharcade have all given the game wonderful reviews and top marks.

This is our first app on the iPhone. We are well known for online games. We have prodcued online games for Iron Maiden, Lily Allen and iTV, Universal etc.

We have just finsihed a web experince for Vimto (drink) http://www.vimto.com. I'm just recovering from a 36 hours non stop shift to get it finsihed :(

Off to bed I think...:confused:

Is anyone else having a problem where no matter what the volume is set at the game starts out with the speakers at full volume?

I love this game! For the amount I play it's well worth the cost. I love the animated characters on the different screens. I would highly recommend this game!

Can we get a Lite version to demo?!

I would suggest this or, as mentioned above, a Price Drop to $1.99 to entice those who might be inclined to buy it but may not want to spend $4 for an app they might use for a week and tire of.

I can't believe some people. Four dollars is not that much. Even if you got tired of it in a month, so what...$4-. I've had it for a week now and I think it's an awesome game. I'm not going to play it night and day, so I don't expect to get tired of it.

I downloaded this game and I get NO volume at all. I am new to the iPhone, but why is there no volume at all? This is the first game I have ever downloaded. Anyone know how I can fix this so I can hear sound effects in games?

Thanks!
