Hey anyone else had this problem (and solved it?). My monterey install goes through all the steps on the old OS it reboots the computer appears to do something then after a while reboots and goes back into the old OS (with the monterey installer back at the start asking to start install).

Backup data if needed, create a USB installer, and try the install from there. If that doesn't work, go into recovery, wipe the disk, and try a clean install of Monterey from the USB.

I have read of 2 reports on the forum of your problem. I don't recall what the members did to resolve.

I did a clean install, and then brought in data from my TimeMachine Backup. Now I'm getting:

"Volume Hash Mismatch Hash mismatch detected on volume disk2s5".

Anyone know what this means. Is this hardware or software issue?

I'm now downloading the OS from the App. Store. I hope I don't have to go through the hassle of a total wipe of the HD again.

Granted this is a Late 2015 27" iMac, and it has a history of issues. But darn it I don't want to let it go.
