There were reports a while back of the first issue Monterey bricking 16-inch 2019 MacBookPros. Now that we're being offered Monterey 12.2.1, has the problem been resolved?

Not the same model, but I just tried to install it on my 16" 2021 macbook pro and it bricked it. Won't even boot to recovery, and DFU isn't working (giving it another shot now). Yay me. Off to the apple store I go :(

Edit: On the bright side, the 3rd DFU revive attempt worked. Yay.

Long since solved. No issues with my 2015 MBP or 2019 MBP.

I suggest to use Monterey when it comes to final version at the end of this year.

Mac os becomes 'Bug OS' nowadays because of new hardware and new features.
