Hi all,

I've recently been put in charge of putting together my department's newsletter, the content for which almost *always* comes at the last minute and is changed on the fly. As the lowly intern (even though I've been there for three years hehe), I don't have any way of streamlining content development, but I've been working on developing some sort of template or workflow to allow for rapid changes in content while not having to reformat the entire thing.

My question is this: what would be the best way to do this? The current forerunner is to use InDesign for layout and use XML linked to character styles to format everything and drag and drop. I've never used XML before, so this is an adventure and a half...but are there any easier ways to do this? The newsletter is issued as a cover page with links to individual PDFs that contain the stories in full (not my idea). Suggestions from the peanut gallery are deeply appreciated :) Thanks!

Did this ever get solved?

I was trying to search for the same issue and ran across this thread. Did you ever get this resolved? Do you have any advice or sites to point me at?
Thanks!
