Hey guys, I've had my Blackbook for about three weeks and it has been absolutely wonderful... So, thing is, I downloaded coconutBattery since day one, and my battery capacity increases as time passes, isn't it supposed to diminish with time and usage? Can anyone please tell me if this is normal or do I have a weird and potentially hazardous battery? Am I being too paranoid? (I'm attaching a pic)

Thanks in advance!
Alex

BTW I have already calibrated my battery.

Did you calibrate your battery when you got your Mac? The batteries usually start out with a higher capacity than their stated capacity and then decrease over time. It can take a little while for the system to figure out exactly how much juice your battery can actually hold...calibrating helps it do this.

Yeah, you were quickier than me, I was just adding an edit to my original post. I calibrated the battery on the first week... I just think it's weird that while my girlfriend's Macbook (bought on the same day) now has 4950mA, mine actually has more capacity.

This has been discussed previously and you're not the only one. Perhaps the battery wasn't correctly calibrated from the beginning, and doing so later yielded a higher capacity. With my PowerBook (now two years old) my capacity varies between 89-91%. If I don't fully deplete the battery over a few cycles, it decreases. But fully discharging and recharging it can usually give me back a percentage point or two.

Oh OK thanks! I did a forum search but couldn't find anything, anywho, thanks for the info; now I can go back to enjoy my first Mac with no worries.
