Are you more excited about receiving the iPhone or iPad?

For me it's the iPad because of useability. The iPhone was more a novelty.

iphone for me....just cause it was the 1st of its kind. With the Ipad, we now know what its like to browse the web with our fingers, etc.

iPad for me - the iPhone was cool but this has been my dream device - I remember to this day the first time playing with an iPhone and imagining what would happen if they took this to a much larger display and it is finally here - and it is exciting!

It's also exciting because with the iPhone I didn't have any idea I would be getting one since I was on Sprint but after playing with it bought it to use as an iPod touch before those came out - with the iPad I've got the 3G model preordered and it is only a matter of time before they ship out.

So iPad for me! :)

The iPad Possibilities Podcast

iPad for me. I didn't even decide to buy an iPhone until the day it went on sale. Among other things, I'm greatly anticipating being able to read books, newspapers, mags in a natural way but w/o paper. I'm not an eco-nut, I just hate paper and the clutter it enables me to create.

Really? isn't it the other way around iphone should be for useability like making phone calls checking email, text messages staying in touch. iPad is a novelty item which you just have in addition to your phone and computer. In this day and age having a phone is essential how could the iphone be a novelty?

This is exactly what I was thinking.

I'd have to say iPad. Ever since the app store really took off I've wanted a larger version of my iPhone. The small screen imo limits it's usefulness to me. I've tried everything from netbooks, MBA's, MBP's and a few tablets such as the Archos 9, Archos 7 and few other off brand media devices. The iPad looks to be what I've hoped would show up for several years now.

The iPhone was exciting, but I honestly hadn't really followed it enough or knew enough about it to get excited about it's release. It's a great device and will still get plenty of use when I'm out of the house. The iPad however will become my primary media device in the house while I am relaxing on the couch or at night in bed.

iPad.

I passed on the iPhone revolution (though I ended up getting an iPod touch in a back-to-school promotion).

For me, the only working comparison is the original 128k Macintosh in 1984. I had to get on a waiting list for that.

iPad.
iPhone was nice, but until the App Store, it didn't really excite me.

I am excited about the possibility of being able to chart electronically with a device that is less a barrier between me and my patients.

For me I can make and receive calls from any cell phone

But for on the go email, browsing, movies, keyboard, apps, iPad will be the sweet spot because of screen size!

iPad for me too. with the iPhone a lot of people had no idea what to expect but now we've had years of knowing the iPhone and what it can do and wishing there were a larger more usable device. We know the importance of what is comming and the App store is ready to go!
The revolution will be televised. :)

I type with one or two thumbs on the iPhone and I avoid it like the plague!

Having to always enlarge the screen on the iPhone is a pain and it is still too small

Movies on the iPhone is just a novelty

Apps on the iPad will literally take on a new dimension!

I can't wait

I dont know about "on the go" that thing is huge. On the go would be something you can stick in your pocket and can still do all those functions like.... oh I don't know mmmm an........ iPhone

I was very uncertain but definitely excited about what I was going to receive when I stepped up to the counter and paid my money for the first-gen iPhone in 2007. Now I am MUCH more aware of the possibilities inherent in an iPad and am very excited about the launch on April 3rd. Both debuts are exciting for very different reasons and truly cannot be compared.

iPad . . . only because I already have an iPhone (had the original up to the current 3gs). If I didn't have an iPhone I'd have to say both and I'd want both :D

iPad, hands down.

Since, for the last 6 years, I've been spending half my time in the U.S. and half in Seoul+Tokyo, iPhone never made much sense for me. Have been surviving with country specific, company provided, dumb phones and, since they first came out, my indispensable iPod Touch.

With the iPad, I will finally have a light computing/entertainment device that I can comfortably carry in by bag all the time and will accomplish ALL of my on-the-go needs in a lighter more convenient form factor than my MacBook Pro, and yet with a larger, more practical screen and faster than my iPod Touch.

Also, it will finally be feasible to tap in the 3G Network, since I can turn it on and off as needed in the U.S. and simply switch out Microsims for when KT starts carrying the iPad later this year. (estimated by June).

easily the iPad. now, having owned my iPhone and knowing what it can do I am excited to have a bigger and even more powerful version that can even do more.

iPhone in my pocket on vibrate for calls

iPad in my over the shoulder bag no problem
