The 13" 2.13GHz model tests about 10% faster than the 1.86GHz.

The $1400 13" 1.86GHz seems like the sweet spot. I'm not sure why anyone would buy the $1400 11" 1.6GHz over the 13". You get so much more for the same amount of money.

Thanks for posting this!! I really wanted to see these, since the Anandtech review failed to include benchmarks for the 1.6GHz 11" and the 2.13GHz 13" models. I was particularly interested in seeing the benchmarks for the 1.6GHz 11" 4GB RAM model, because that is what I have on order right now. Looks very promising!! The extra 200MHz looks like it is definitely worth the extra $100 for about a 17% performance increase. I am going with the 11.6" over the 13" (I already own a rev. C 13") because I love the small form factor of the 11.6". I will be able to run a full Mac OS X computer on something about the size of an iPad. Amazing!!!

Having just received mine and running it almost non stop for 24 hours, I gotta say I'm so thankful I didn't succumb to the urge to waste my money on the 2010 13" MBP Junior model. This computer is everything that one wanted to be, but less weight. Sure its missing the optical drive, but thats just about all.

I'm also thankful I opted for the 13" versus the 11" netbook. This one has an unbelievable screen. Even moving all day between my 15" MBP w/Hi-Res, the resolution and clarity on this one is superb. Unreal...very, very happy.

I'm getting about 7 hours on a full battery charge with constant use, the screen never dim, with at least 1.5 hours of that outputting to a projector.

I'm taking a flight out to Vegas in the AM...will give me a chance to test full-day "real world" use on a full charge.

Increased portability perhaps...

It's no different than people suggesting the MBA as a whole is a bad purchase when you can get a more powerful and better equipped MBP for the same price.

Which machine is going to be your main, goto machine?

I think it depends on the circumstances. For day to day use when I'm not running real-time rendering demonstrations, I'll likely use the MBA. On those occasions when I need to do real-time renders while at a client location, I'll pick up my 15" MBP.

Should note that the 15" MBP, even with an i7 and 8 gigs of RAM, isn't the best choice for renders. I've full desktop machines that are far faster. But I do "mini-renders" with my clients on-site so its passable. I'll try a couple today on my MBA on my trip over to Vegas and time them. It may suffice, but haven't tried that yet.

I am LOVING the feeling of carrying this little thing though. The last time I tried to do a trip with just my iPad and the keyboard I was sort of stressed out about the limitations of the thing. I don't have that stress now....this MBA can do likely almost anything my MPB can, albeit slower or with less grace.s

The difference between an 11 and 13 inch screen is negligible when your main machine has a 24 inch display. Where I do want to save though, is in size and weight.
