hey guys im going from 256mb of ram to 1.25 gb ram into my ibook. will spotlight work faster?? its already quick (we all kno that), but lags a lil when it gets the results. i.e if i type "microsoft word", itll take a sec or two to show the blue "W" icon., same thigs happens with pics....

More RAM = Faster Spotlight ???

Well, looking at Activity Monitor as I do a quick search in Spotlight, there are no dramatic increases in RAM usage but a big change in CPU use by one of the System processes (I forgot which one 
). So, I don't think RAM will really speed up significantly Spotlight because it seems to be a processor-intensive task.
