I recently called Apple about adding more RAM to my latest revision 12" PB (the one right before they got rid of it), and to make it even 768 the price they gave me was over 125 dollars. I instantly knew that was rediculous, so I'm just going to order from Crucial and do it myself.

Can anyone give me a link to the RAM I need on Crucial's site? (a stick of 512)

Side-note: It has two 256's in it, one on the board, one is in a slot that is removable, right? So I can just take out the in the slot and put in the 512?

Yes, you can very easily remove the one in the slot and slip in the new ram. I pm'd you about my RAM for sale if your interested. If not, crucial site will walk you through buying step by step.

I recommend Data memory Systems

512 Mb US$49
1 Gb US$113

Wherever you get it, I highly recommend you go for the 1 Gb module as the machine has only the one socket - if you put in a 512 (for a net gain of 256) you will just have to take it out again when you need more

I agree, I just removed my 512 for a 1 GB and it is much faster. EDIT: actually, its hard to tell because I added a new Hard Drive and the stick of RAM at the same time.
