more than one ATV in a house?

through a series of birthday events, I will have 2 ATV's next week.


What are the possibilities for this? Can I have 2 ATV's that use the same streaming server? Will 1 itunes on my mac pro work for both?

So if I have 2 tv's, I can use it one on each?

what you getting 40gb or 160gb ? - i'd keep one as it is and Mod the other , but that's just me

40's. Movies are all kept on externals and such, just use the ATV's storage for some essential kids shows for hotels/travel.

I haven't done it yet but I plan on using one for my yearly drive to California for 7 hours, gonna hook it up to the little car-headrest screens for the kid and let him watch it off that instead of trying to use the god-awful DVD player built into the screen.

We have three that run flawlessly off the same server.

I have two, 1 streams to the bedroom and the other to the Plasma. I have to turn off the bedroom ATV, the hard drive seeking is too loud when its quiet. As long as I hold down the play button for 5 seconds the HD turns off after a minute or so.

No problem streaming multiple TVs off the same server. I used to not be able to stream the same content at the same time but I think that has changed since 2.0. The coolest thing I find is that if I stop play on one I can resume play on the other.
