I've got problems with webpages either not loading at all, are very slow to do so or or load without images. It is the same with Safari, Firefox and Chrome.

Using OSX 10.8.5

I've tried changing my DNS server to 4.2.2.1 - 4.2.2.6 as recommended in another post, but this has not solved the problem.

I have noticed that Face Book loads the quickest and YouTube not at all. Not sure if this helps?

The problem is on my 2007 iMax and my 2013 MacBook Pro.

Any advice/help?

Thanks.

Guys - problem sort of resolved. Its Avast web shield that is causing the problem.

If I switch of the web shield it works fine. Not really an ideal solution as I would still like some web protection. Any suggestions how I can achieve his?

You really don't need anything. If you are keeping Mountain Lion updated it has built in malware protection, so you should be in good shape. Just don't install anything you did not get from a trusted source like the developer.

Thanks - I didn't realize I could just run with Mountain Lion alone.
