Is that what you guys really want?

They didn't kill it.

They know it's a bit of a joke, so they lowered prices.

Let's go with "Glass Half Full" and say that this signifies that they wanted to keep it warm while they work out the how's and why's of TB on a PCIE GPU.

It isn't dead people, would be much worse if it was.

They didn't lower the prices, they are using processors that replaced the ones they were using 14 months ago.

March 2010:
W3520 - $294
W3565 - $583
W3680 - $999

E5620 - $387
X5650 - $996
X5670 - $1,440

February 2011 onwards:
W3565 - $294

E5645 - $551
X5670 - $996
X5675 - $1,440

July 2011:
W3680 - $583

So actually a Mac Pro with Intel's $600 defunct Xeon is now $2,999 instead of $2,899. Price increase really.
