I want to upgrade my mid 2011 Mac-mini (the i5 model) from 4gb to 16gb ram. I would like to know between OWC, Corsair and Crucial brands which brand is the most compatible with this model of the mac-mini.

As long as the memory meets the specs and is from a reliable manufacturer, it will work and there is no difference. Among the three you mentioned, I would just buy whichever you can find the cheapest.
I always go to Crucial's website and use their Advisor Tool to find the specs of the memory for my system. Then go to the other sites and compare prices. I got Crucial RAM for $20 cheaper on Amazon for my 2012 Mac mini.
