Hey guys. Wondering if iTunes restore is still the most effective way for a super clean, factory restore or if "Reset All Settings" is a good option now? (I remember reading some years ago that it did not erase some files, etc).

Assuming you want to go completely PC-free, what would you do?

Do you mean just reset all settings or reset all settings and erase all data?

That's fine, if you weren't jailbroaken. If yes, than, DFU restore and setup as new.

Like someone else said, if you're not jailbroken Erase All Content and Settings is fine, if you are it'll crash your phone so don't

I still believe the most effective way to restore is restoring from the computer backup through iTunes. I don't know any better way, and I don't think there will be any.

And with that restored backup, you could return a lot of junk.......so no, I don't think so :)
