Switching over to a Nexus 7 in a few days, mom is getting my ipad.

The Nexus 7 will be my test platform to see how much I enjoy Android, if I like it enough, i'll get an Android phone the next time I can upgrade.

Also my mom wants an android, but she's afraid of switching from her iphone, so I hope this device will let her play around with it a bit.

Anyway, this forum is great, but what's the best android dedicated news website, something like Macrumors, but for Android.

I don't want any biased sites either, Phandroid is horrible and like the Fox News of Android world.

I really like IOS, and Android seems cool too. Why must we fight?

I actually think this section of the forums is one of the best. Questions are answered fast and I usually hear info here first.

I visit Android Central and XDA. I prefer XDA, but I haven't been at Android Central for very long.

The knock on Android tablets tend to be the apps. Something to keep in mind. You might enjoy an Android phone more than their tablet.

With respect to your question, I read Android Authority, Android Central, and Android Police daily. That should be plenty with regards to staying up to date with Android news. For a forum I recommend the ones found at Android Central, XDA, this place, and AnandTech.
