iPad mini Most protective smart cover compatible case.

I'm wondering if there is something as protective as and Otterbox case that is also compatible with the Smart Cover on my iPad mini. My daughter dropped and cracked the screen this weekend. All I had on it was the smart cover and a cheap chinese shell case. I want to keep using my smart cover, but I want something that is a bit more drop proof for a 4 year old.
