I'll start off with 10/20, because I know that at least 1 person who ordered there i5s and i7s on that day received shipment notifications.

Here's the idea:

-if you received a shipment notification for an order you placed more recently than any of the previously listed entries, post that fact.

-if your order was placed before ANY of the previous entries, please do not post.

-post i5/i7 config (only non-standard mods) and first few digits of order number (optional)

-please quote this so that this forum does not get filled with other information. The purpose is to get an approximately real-time sense of what order dates Apple is currently shipping, for i5 and i7.

Thanks. :)

Example:

Ordered 10/20: i7 w/8GB RAM, Numeric Pad Keyboard. Order W653XXXX. Shipment notification: 11/9

ordered 11/08: cancelled 10/26 i5 order, switched to i7 w/ 8GB RAM and numeric keyboard. Shipment notification: 11/13

ordered 11/08: cancelled 10/26 i5 order, switched to i7 w/ 8GB RAM and numeric keyboard. Shipment notification: 11/13

Still haven't seen an order that was originally placed in November that's shipped or gone prepared to ship yet (in any of the other forums).

If you look close he ordered it on 10/26 not 11/08 apple keeps original order number and that keeps the date.

Apple had to cancel my original order on 11/8, which I placed on 10/28 to upgrade my ram from 4 gig to 8 gig. The girl told me they use the same order number so i wouldn't loose my spot in the shipment line. My order now shows original one canceled by apple and a new order. I still showing not yet shipped!
grrrrr

Papajz is correct, I originally placed an order for an i5 on 10/26. I cancelled my i5 order in favor of an i7 over the phone with an Apple rep, and I did manage to keep my original order number. I think that made a difference in receiving my shipping notice so soon...

I ordered November 6th, and I'm scheduled to receive it today by 4:30. I just got off the phone with Fed Ex and they said they'll probably be here by 12. My estimated delivery date was for monday, november 16. The advantage of living in Manhattan is that you tend to get things quickly. Especially midtown.

May I ask what you ordered, exactly? i5/i7, etc. Thanks!

I believe when you quote another thread that is nearly the exact same thing, it shows the true reason as to if we need another thread.

And I believe when a thread gets as large as the "waiting" thread, and contains so many posts that I literally don't have time to read through it any more, it might make sense to have another that stuck just to Dates. (I realize that this response detracts from that goal, so it will be my last until I have actual data.)

Ordered a base config i5 on the 20th of October. Cancelled my order on the 5th of November and ordered a base i7.
Nothing has changed and no shiping info as of yet. Not even a prepared for shipment...

11/4 Order Prepared to Ship

Ordered 11/4 2:30 PST. Order W6562XXXX.

"Prepared for Shipment."

i7, 4GB RAM, 1TB HDD.
